A pair of medals, the Salomon Heine's Jewish Community Hospital in Hamburg - 1841
Solomon Heine was a Jewish trader and banker living in Hamburg. Heine, a native of Hanover, came to Hamburg in 1784 when he was destitute, and years later purchased huge properties there, becoming one of the richest people in Germany. He became known in his life as the benefactor and patron of his nephew Heinrich Heine.
